What is the difference when grading NFL gross and net passing yards?

For a proposition stated as "Cardinals QBs vs Flacco most gross passing yards?", sack yardage is not included.
If the proposition stated "Cardinals QBs vs Flacco most net passing yards?, then sack yardage would be included in the calculation for grading.
