In-running or live bets are held as ‘waiting’ for a short, finite time period in order to protect all parties involved from being victims of faster or slower event feeds.

After the short time period, all ‘waiting’ bets (regardless of which side the bets are on) are accepted if the game state has not materially changed.

When it is determined that an event has changed materially, all ‘waiting’ wagers (regardless of which side the bets are on) are not accepted.
